As the most established all-waxing salon in New York City, we have spent years honing our waxing techniques. All of our waxing experts are New York State licensed and have years of experience both in the beauty industry and at maxwax. You can be assured that you will receive your waxing services from a highly qualified, experienced professional. We believe that waxing is too personal (and too painful!) an endeavor to subject you to an inexperienced waxing technician.
We make our own and it is gorgeous. Developed exclusively for us and perfected since we opened our doors nine years ago, the waxes we use are nothing short of wonderful. Chamomile and shea butter wax, creamy wax and hard wax (the kind that doesn't require strips) are all geared towards making the waxing process less painful and leaving as little redness as possible. Located in residential areas in upper Manhattan, we know our neighbors. Unlike waxing chains with franchises nationwide, we have chosen to grow locally. Some of us live in the area, we all shop in local stores and are accustomed to interacting with our clients both on the street and in our salons. We are often asked and are always pleased to contribute our services to charity events and school auctions.

We also do our best to accommodate walk-ins.
In order to accommodate all of our customers, we ask that you change or cancel your appointment 12 hours before you are scheduled to arrive at maxwax. Should you fail to do this, you will be charged 50% of the cost of your service. With regard to lateness, we will hold your appointment for 10 minutes, after which time we cannot guarantee that you will be seen by a technician.
